Traditions deconstructed like a jigsaw and put together anew, Winter Gala's old-timey carols reemerge in a lofi jazz dream, glistening with bells. Ambient, beats, texture, emotion, nostalgia. The album is evocative of the hyper communal feelings that Christmas brings. Brass-laden warmth is wrapped in rich vocal pads, lofi ukulele grooves with bass atop of bouncing beats.
