To you my beautiful readers,
The journey of a musician is a bumpy path with twists and turns, and you can never quite predict where it is leading. I am grateful my path led me to this wonderful man, Patrick.
Our wedding music video to go with my new song “Family” is up now on YouTube. We got so lucky with an incredible photo/video team that absolutely captured the essence of the love and happiness we were all feeling on that fine August day.
Please enjoy, from my heart to yours, and know that this new life chapter for me and for my music is going to be fruitful and active.

I had two things I really needed to do in 2025. Get married to my longtime partner/fiancé Patrick, and release at least one song. The wedding, from planning stages to the big day and then recovery in the aftermath, was a massive undertaking. During this time I snuck in one immersive music production weekend in March. After the wedding I wanted to have original music to accompany the wedding video, so I got to work recording trumpet and vocals to finish an upbeat tune I’d made in that little window in March.

It wholly encapsulates the love that I was feeling that day. Giving and receiving, it was one of the most intense and extraordinary experiences of my life. I did not anticipate how much MORE happy I would become with a beautiful ring on my finger encompassing my deep love and partnership with Patrick. The etchings of our beloved beardies Rey and Louis tying our little family into one unit. Love spills all over the song. There is a depth of warmth I’ve never quite captured before. The title “Family” came organically as I realized that in 2025 family was my theme for the year.
So today I present to you my year end project and new favourite song. This optimistic and curious melodic refrain can set the mood for 2026, where love, hope, truth and authenticity and will carry us all forward.
As always, thank you for listening,
Anita
P.S. the full music video is coming soon. Final edits are happening now. 💛

Jingle is a laid-back cheerful song that sounds like the magic of the first snowfall of winter. The lights are up and there is nostalgia for years past and hope for the new year.
I know I am looking forward to the season of family, friends, love and giving, always so many special memories.
Through the lens of lofi dream jazz Jingle weaves cozy refrains into newborn melodies.
The full album comes out Nov 1st. You can pre-order on Bandcamp and pre-save on Apple Music. It’s called Winter Gala and I think you’re going to love it.
Enjoy Jingle, and thank you for listening,
Anita xo
I’ve been working madly all year on this and today I finally get to give a piece of it to you and to tell you that more is coming. My new single Magi arrived on all platforms today—with a music video too!
It is instrumental, lofi dream jazz, this time with a seasonal twist.

Magi is a song that makes me feel like I am strong enough to continue when nothing is going my way. Like if I just keep putting one foot in front of the other, I am going to get where I want to be. I have dreams for myself and my music. I want it to reach people and help them in the same way it helps me.
The single has a haunting quality, the voices reflecting my own shock and disbelief at the totaling of my car early on in the writing process. Ruby was my freedom and faithful steed. The accident forced me to take stock and know myself better. Being able to walk away with no one else hurt (except my car) made finishing this new album very important to me. I wasn’t completely unscathed, but my physical rehab has been going really great and I’m filled with hope for the future.
The album is called Winter Gala, and you are invited. It fully releases on Nov 1st.
